Fourth of July in Westchester: Where to See Fireworks - Sound Shore Moms of Westchester

Happy Fourth of July! Here is a list of when and where there will be fireworks in the Sound Shore area of Westchester this week. The information below is courtesy of the respective towns’ websites and Westchester County Parks. Email us at [email protected] to add to the list! 

July 2nd

Scarsdale Pool Complex, 311 Mamaroneck Road, Scarsdale The Scarsdale Recreation Department’s annual fireworks display will be held Tuesday, July 2, at approximately 9:15 p.m. at the Scarsdale Pool Complex, with the Westchester Band kicking things off at 7:30 p.m. A $5 fee will be charged to all non-pool members entering the facility starting at 5 p.m. Starting at 8 p.m., ALL individuals who enter will be charged $5. As always, alcoholic beverages and glass containers are strictly prohibited.

White Plains High School

This year’s celebration will feature a wide variety of entertainment including a performance by the Stolen Moments Entertainment on the main stage at 7:30 p.m.  Children and their families will also enjoy a visit from the Animal Embassy, the Miz Liz Variety Show and face painting.  A variety of food concessions will be available. The White Plains Independence Day Celebration would not be complete without fireworks. The show presented by Special FX Wizard Inc. will begin at approximately 9:15 p.m.

July 3rd

Kensico Dam Music Fest & Fireworks (1 Bronx River Parkway, Valhalla)

Walk your children over to adjoining Clove Road Field for games, kids’ activities and DJ music. Food and beverage trucks will be there to satisfy everyone’s cravings. The Tailgate Party runs from 6:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. A dynamic guest DJ will kick off the event at 5 p.m., followed by one of New York City’s most exciting bands, Total Soul, at 7 p.m. Glittering fireworks with the historic Kensico Dam as the backdrop will follow at about 9 p.m.

Harrison (Oakland Avenue)

Fireworks Party Band will begin at 7PM. Fireworks start at 9PM.

July 4th

New Rochelle (Hudson Park and Five Islands Park) A grand fireworks display, produced by Grucci Family of Fireworks at the New Rochelle waterfront! Sponsored by New Rochelle Parks and Recreation. Optimum viewing locations include Hudson Park, Five Islands Park, and Municipal Marina upper parking deck. Begins at 9:30pm.

 
Rye Playland: Fireworks begin at 9PM.

 

Harbor Island Park, Mamaroneck: The Fireworks Display in Harbor Island Park will begin after sunset around 9:15pm/9:30pm on Thursday, July 4. (Rain date is Friday, July 5.) The Excelsior Symphony Orchestra will perform an outdoor concert at Harbor Island Park at 8pm before the July 4th Fireworks Display.

Larchmont: The Dixie Dandies will be playing July 4, at 7 p.m. in Manor Park. Fireworks will be visible all along the Long Island Sound. No food/drinks allowed.

Port Chester High School: The Saints Brigade will perform at 7pm followed by fireworks at 9pm.

June 27th – July 6th

Mamaroneck Fireman’s Carnival at Harbor Island Park

The Firemen’s Carnival will take place each evening, between 6:45pm and 11:30pm, from  June 27 through  July 6.
