Closet Factory announces the grand opening of their Darien, CT showroom, where you will find custom storage solutions for your closets, home office, garage, and every other space in your home. Local owners Nataliya & Nazar Bryksa invite you to stop in or request a complimentary in-home design consultation to explore a personalized design for the areas of your home that need a system. Each design is one-of-a-kind, stylish, and will keep you and your family well organized.
Can you please share a bit about how your business started? What are your backgrounds and what drove your decision to open a Closet Factory in CT/NY?
There were a few driving factors that lead to our decision to open our Closet Factory franchise. Nazar already had over a decade in the home improvement industry and enjoyed it. So when we did our own remodel back in 2012 we learned firsthand how important it was to include custom closets and have them done by a professional. We experienced how the designer was able to help us visualize our ideas and customize the spaces to our needs. Living with the closet systems made such an impact on our daily routine that we felt it was an excellent fit for us to provide this service to customers in Westchester County, NY, and Fairfield County, CT.
Everything seemed to fall into place as we became serious about moving forward. Closet Factory had an impressive product offering, was a pioneer in the industry, and the territory we desired was available, so we knew it was time to move forward. Nazar has two degrees in Business Administration and Law. I have a Masters of Business Administration (while having two kids!), which gives us a solid foundation for business together.
We know your offer FREE estimates and consultations, but can you take us through the process from initial meeting to finished space?
We typically stay away from the notion of an estimate since we do our best to offer design and product solutions that work within our client’s budgets. We start with the initial design consultation. Our Designers not only consult on design, but they also have the skill of a professional organizer and a project manager.
To create the perfect closet, we need to understand your goals. Are you trying to make a boutique-style walk-in closet, or show off your shoe or handbag collection, or trying to maximize space or gain organization? Designers start by measuring the area and take an inventory of the items you want to be stored. From there, they work with you to come up with a layout that will create more space and keep you organized. Once the design is complete, the designer discusses aesthetics. Together you will select the materials, colors, hardware, embellishments, and all the elements that make the space uniquely yours.
Congratulations on your new showroom! Please share a bit more about the opening in Darien and what clients can expect to find there?
We are very excited about the Darien showroom and are very happy to provide our clients with a tour of this new location. We also have displays at our Bethel CT factory; however, it’s not as elaborate as our new one. Since our products are custom-made to order, it’s easier to visualize what you will get and how impressive our systems are when you see them in person. Plus, we wanted to expand our display selection to show more range of products. You will find walk-in closets, home offices, pantries, and more. You will also find an area devoted to material and color samples, hardware samples such as rods, knobs and pulls, doors styles, LED lighting, all types of accessories like jewelry drawers and valet rods, etc. It helps to imagine what your own dream space can become.
2020 was a huge year for people to make changes to their homes and it seems like 2021 & 2022 will again be all about the home! What are some of the biggest trends you’re seeing in home organization? Are there particular areas clients are focusing on?
With all the moving that has been taking place and people spending more of their free time at home, all our systems are in high demand. People need more space or want it personalized to their specific needs. We also have the work-from-home customers getting budgets from their employers to create a home office that will allow them to work smart. And in the last couple of years, walk-in pantries and laundry rooms are in high demand and continue to be.
We see a shift in styles. The modern look with floated shelving and straight lines has been trendy; however, we see a change back to beautiful extensive crown moldings and thick panels in the last year or so. Features such as islands are popular in walk-in closets and home offices, and craft spaces. Lighting is another must-have feature that is often purely decorative more than functional.
