#GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement. They have launched #givingtuesdaynow to take place today, 5/5/2020 as a global day of unity in response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. The best way for everyone to support this movement is to get involved in our own local communities. We know that there are a lot of people, families, hospitals, businesses and organizations in great need right now due to COVID-19 so we put together a list to help you navigate these options. Only give a donation if you can afford to, and remember that a little goes a long way. If everyone in the Sound Shore gave $1 to even just one organization, it would make a huge impact. Hope Community Services
With the assistance and support of a host of volunteers, HOPE opened the doors of its first Soup Kitchen in 1984. Since its early days, HOPE has grown to become the largest emergency Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen in the region. Although HOPE Community Services was founded to respond to hunger in the community, it quickly became apparent that food was not the only thing our clients were lacking. Clothing, language skills, emotional support, immigration services, and other daily necessities were also needed. HOPE Community Services expanded its services to meet the needs of its diverse client population.

FLAG Westchester
Although we cannot personally help on the Front Line, we keep thinking about ways we can support the first responders. Listening to the news, we are also aware that many local restaurants are struggling. We want to raise money to coordinate restaurant meals to be delivered to the first responders at local hospitals. This effort will support local businesses and will also provide first responders with delicious meals as they work hard to keep all of us safe. Please help us do our part in fighting COVID-19.

One Larchmont, Inc. – COVID-19 Response
One Larchmont, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) recognized charity providing emergency disaster relief to those businesses most threatened by the shutdown, and directly to the employees of those businesses. The entity was formed by Larchmont residents in 2019 with the primary purpose to combat community deterioration by restoring and beautifying the streets and exterior façades of buildings located in the town centers exclusively in Larchmont, New York. However, in response to the COVID 19 crisis, One Larchmont, Inc. is raising a discrete fund for the purpose of providing disaster relief in the time of COVID 19.

Larchmont/Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force
We are an all-volunteer coalition of community organizations, houses of worship, and concerned citizens dedicated to assisting local families who need food. We run a food pantry that distributes a nutritional bag of groceries providing four days of meals, twice a month.
