We spoke to Megan Vizzari, co-owner of No Filter Aesthetics, a concierge aesthetic service here in Westchester. Read more about the services that they provide and be sure to follow along on Instagram. She also has some great advice for us moms trying to do it all!
Where are you from originally and where do you live now?
I am originally from Port Chester but now live in Harrison. Both of my parents grew up in Harrison so I was always back and forth from Port Chester visiting my grandparents as a kid! I love our area and we were fortunate enough to now live in the house my dad grew up in!
That’s so special! How many kids do you have and what are their ages?
I have two beautiful daughters! Mila is 8 and is going into third grade and Madison is 6 and is going into 1st grade.
What are your favorite shops, restaurants, and things to do here in the Sound Shore?
Oh, there are so many to choose from! Growing up in Port Chester, we were super lucky to have so many awesome places to eat! And this area always offers something fun and exciting to do! It’s part of the reason I love living here.
As for restaurants, I love Bartaco and go there frequently. Some of my other favorites are Lombardos, Rye Roadhouse, Walter’s for a quick lunch, Laughing Horse for a caffeine fix, and Stanz Cafe for breakfast…but there are too many to choose from!
One of my favorite things to do is explore different areas in and around the Sound Shore, as well as finding weekend activities to do with our girls – farmer’s markets, hiking or walking trails, new ice cream shops. I also love finding new restaurants to go to!
If I had to narrow down my favorite Sound Shore shops, I’d have to say Ruby & Jenna and Vanilla Sky, both in Rye Brook; Sammy + Nat and Lester’s for the kids.
Tell us about No Filter Aesthetics! How did you get started?
No Filter actually started as a running joke with my partner, Andrea Spadaro! We both are Physician Assistants in Orthopedic surgery and on rough days, we’d look at each other in our office and joke that we should just start doing Botox injections for a living (which we thought would be more low-key than Orthopedic surgery!) Fast forward a few years, and here we are! We both loved the idea of making people feel and look their best! It’s a pretty stark contrast to Orthopedic surgery where the idea is to fix what is broken. Aesthetics involves a little more artistry and the goal is to give the client the look they want. There is nothing better than making some feel beautiful or handsome!
What services do you provide?
Currently, we are doing Botox injections but will be expanding to dermal fillers and Aquagold facials (which incorporate small doses of Botox and a mixture of vitamins). Right now we are a concierge service so we travel to clients or some opt to come to us. Once we have a dedicated space, it will be easier to offer filler appointments and more invasive procedures
What’s your favorite part about running your own business?
My favorite part of co-owning No Filter would be helping our clients feel and look their best, as well as the flexibility to book appointments around our schedules and the schedules of our clients.
What’s next for No Filter Aesthetics?
Next up would be expanding our services and focusing on getting more involved in the Sound Shore community!
Any tips for us moms trying to juggle it all?
Yes! All of us moms are always trying to be SuperMom and get it all done, and flawlessly at that! It can be overwhelming and exhausting. My two tips are not to sweat the small stuff and know that everything always works out the way it’s supposed to!
Also…this is not a tip but a reminder…make time for yourself! You will always be a more patient, rested, happier Mom when you take a break and set some time aside for YOU!
