Where are you from originally and where do you live now?
I am originally from right outside of Boston, Massachusetts and currently live in Mamaroneck, NY.
How many children do you have and what are their ages?
Two girls, Sydney is 6 and Emery is 2.
Congratulations on the launch of your business! What services do you provide?
I am dedicated to supporting local businesses in and around Westchester and Southern Connecticut by elevating their brands and growing their visibility within their communities. I am committed to helping them stand out in a crowded space. My services cover a wide range of needs, from building websites and developing brand missions from the ground up, to full management of social media platforms, promoting new launches and executing events. I also work with my clients to create compelling content and marketing materials, including photography and short videos, to utilize across all their mediums. My goal is to provide an affordable and accessible option that allows local companies to not end up relying on large, more corporate agencies. While these agencies are crucial for certain national brands, they often don’t have the bandwidth to focus on local businesses. That’s where I come in and take the day to day stresses away, by being the go to for all things growth and branding.
What is your professional background?
I worked in Corporate Advertising Sales/Media for 15 years in New York City. This included jobs at Conde Nast, Hearst, Meredith & Time Inc, working for brands such as Domino, Food Network Magazine, and the Digital Group for Travel & Leisure and Food & Wine. After my first child, I had the amazing opportunity to join Scary Mommy right when it launched, as one of their early employees. It was very fitting and great timing for a first time Mom. After moving out to the suburbs, I decided it was time for me to embark on my next venture and start something entrepreneurial, while leveraging my past experiences.
Launching a company is so exciting! What are you looking forward to the most?
Making true, authentic connections with inspirational people and hearing their stories. I want to help local business owners/founders find their own place in a landscape that relies so heavily on well-known companies, chains and big box retailers.
We love to support local! What are some of your Sound Shore favorites?
I have a lot but to highlight a few:
–Fitness: Lucky’s Gym (Mamaroneck): This hidden gym on the Post Road is where all the magic happens. It is run by the most inspirational woman who started this personal training business all on her own. She has a heart of gold and can get you into amazing physical shape, while also being your biggest cheerleader and honoring your fitness goals.
–Kid’s Educational Services: Build4Life (Larchmont, New Rochelle): In a world where our children are growing up way too fast, Build4Life weaves in the most important core values such as kindness, respect, and acceptance, along with social skills and confidence, into all their programs. They have found a way to make fun also educational, through their skills nights, in-school sessions, day camps and summer camps.
–Simple and Delicious Restaurant: Pureganic (Harriso
–For Hair: Everything’s Hair (Larchmont): Nothing brings me more joy than a good hair day. This full service hair salon located right next to Trader Joe’s is my go to. It is filled with the best management and senior stylists that are talented and care about every single customer that comes in their door, old or new.
-Best New Spot: Locals10538 Cafe & Market (Larchmont): This gem just opened in Larchmont. The owners and GM are fantastic, kind, passionate people who transformed the space into a market/café with great food, sit down and take out service, and a modern vibe. The upstairs is a trendy space with a full bar area, live concerts weekly and the perfect place to host events.
–Best Hidden Gem: Michael Alexander Optical (Larchmont): Move over Warby Parker. If you want the real deal experience with the best customer service around, Jay is your guy. Not only does he sell all the best eyeglasses and sunglasses, but now he also offers eye exams.
