Mom Approved Product: The Brilliant Kitchen Essential That Will Help Save The Earth - Sound Shore Moms of Westchester

Organic Reusable Food Wraps by ETEE

Packing up the kiddos lunch or snack, or wrapping up leftovers from dinner, often leaves you reaching for tin foil or plastic wrap.  But ( JUST in time for Earth Day on April 22! ) we can honor Mother Earth by reusing, and avoiding plastic when possible!  While this may cost you more than the traditional wrap, it will definitely save you money in the long term!

Why I love it: It’s natural, resuable, plastic free and biodegradable… so it’s non-hazardous for my family and our ecosystem.  And it’s super easy to use and clean.

Do Your Part: Each year, the theme for Earth Day changes.  This year’s campaign is to End Plastic Pollution.  Although it’s currently impossible to completely avoid plastic altogether, there are steps we can take to decrease the amount of waste we generate:

  • no plastic straws
  • give up gum
  • reusable produce bags
  • choose cardboard or glass products over plastic (such as dish detergent)
  • reuse glass containers
  • skip plastic packaging in  frozen foods
  • no plasticware
  • cloth diapers
  • make your own cleaning products
