As a busy mom to three kids, 5 and under, I’ve struggled to keep up with a consistent skincare routine. In addition to that, my boys usually make their way into our bed each night, so my sleep is also lacking. I reached out to Advanced Rejuvenation in Purchase to help me look a little bit more refreshed and they definitely delivered! I made an appointment with Carmen, a medical aesthetician, for a JetPeel Facial and Adrienne, a licensed registered nurse and certified aesthetics provider, for Dysport in my forehead, crow’s feet and a lip flip.
JetPeel Facial
First up was my JetPeel Facial with Carmen. She has been a medical aesthetician for 8 years. She was gentle, peaceful and very knowledgeable about what things work for my skin and what things do not. I have some redness, especially on my cheeks and it turns out that the toner I have been using almost daily was doing more harm than good! Not only is she a skincare guru but she’s also a mom and knows the importance of a routine that is easy to maintain. She was extremely positive and made sure to explain each step of the facial along the way.
The JetPeel facial got its name because it was actually created by a rocket scientist. It was originally used in hospitals to treat and heal burns and wounds. Now it’s an amazing needle-free, no downtime, treatment to address 20+ skin and hair concerns and you will leave with your skin glowing, like I did! The facial itself is a three step process. First they do a lymphatic drainage massage to remove toxins. Then they exfoliate to remove dead skin and cleanse the pores. Finally, they do an infusion of nutrients which is customized depending on the needs of the patient. I had an anti-aging treatment using stem cells. The result was amazing! I left with my skin feeling cleaner, smoother and glowing!
Dysport
Next up was Dysport with Adrienne. Adrienne is a licensed registered nurse and certified aesthetics provider. She has over 20 years of experience and has performed tens of thousands of cosmetic treatments for her patients. She is an expert nurse injector in Botox, Dysport, Xeomin and Jeaveau as well as collagen stimulators and soft tissue fillers. Adrienne injected Dysport into my forehead, crows feet and upper lip area. I’ve always been self conscious about my forehead lines as well as my smile. While I have fuller lips, my top lip tends to curl under when I smile resulting in a gummy smile. The lip flip relaxes the muscles surrounding the top lip resulting in a fuller and less gummy smile. Adrienne was knowledgeable and quick and everything was virtually pain free. The results really speak for themselves and I am so much happier with my smile now!
