It’s such an exciting time in Westchester…trees are blooming and flowers are popping up everywhere! One of my favorite things about the spring is seeing the Cherry Blossoms. Here are the best spots to catch them.
Harbor Island Park
📍 60-98 Harbor Island Park, Mamaroneck, NY 10543
Nestled along the Long Island Sound, Harbor Island Park is a beautiful waterfront location to enjoy cherry blossoms in full bloom. The park offers scenic walking paths, a playground for kids, and plenty of open space to relax under the flowering trees. Take a stroll along the marina or have a picnic while soaking in the stunning views.
J. Harvey Turnure Memorial Park
📍 26 Lake Street, White Plains, NY 10603
A hidden gem in downtown White Plains, this small but charming park boasts a stunning display of cherry blossoms in the spring. The tree-lined walkways create a peaceful atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for a quiet afternoon walk or capturing beautiful photos.
Harrison Public Library
📍 2 Bruce Ave, Harrison, NY 10528
Right outside the Harrison Public Library, you’ll find a lovely collection of cherry blossom trees that add a touch of magic to this community hub. Stop by for a book, then take a moment to enjoy the beauty of the blossoms in the fresh spring air.
Tibbetts Brook Park
📍 355 Midland Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704
This expansive park is well known for its lush greenery, serene water features, and vibrant cherry blossom trees. Enjoy a scenic walk along the brook or find a bench beneath the pink canopies to take in the peaceful surroundings. The park also has great recreational facilities for families to enjoy.
Untermyer Gardens
📍 945 N Broadway, Yonkers, NY 10701
A true hidden treasure, Untermyer Gardens boasts a mix of beautifully maintained landscapes, including cherry blossom trees that add a striking contrast to its historic architecture. The combination of Persian-inspired gardens, scenic Hudson River views, and pink blossoms makes this one of the most unique places to see them bloom.
Lasdon Park & Arboretum
📍 2610 NY-35, Katonah, NY 10536
Lasdon Park offers an idyllic setting for cherry blossom viewing with its carefully curated gardens and wide-open spaces. The arboretum features various flowering trees, making it a wonderful spot for nature lovers looking to experience the beauty of spring in full bloom.
Riverfront Green Park
📍 Peekskill, NY 10566
With sweeping views of the Hudson River, Riverfront Green Park is a serene destination where cherry blossoms add a pop of color to the waterfront scenery. Walk along the paved paths, watch boats sail by, or bring a blanket to relax under the blossoms.
Hammond Museum & Japanese Stroll Garden
📍 28 Deveau Road, North Salem, NY 10560
For a truly immersive cherry blossom experience, visit the Hammond Museum & Japanese Stroll Garden. This peaceful retreat showcases Japanese landscaping, koi ponds, and a stunning display of cherry blossoms that evoke a sense of tranquility and mindfulness. It’s a must-visit for those who appreciate Japanese culture and nature.
Sleepy Hollow Cemetery
📍 Sleepy Hollow, NY
While primarily known for its historic significance, Sleepy Hollow Cemetery transforms into a picturesque landscape during cherry blossom season.
The New York Botanical Garden
📍 900 Southern Boulevard, Bronx, NY 10458
Although just outside Westchester, the New York Botanical Garden is home to one of the most impressive cherry blossom displays in the region. With a variety of cherry tree species, the garden bursts into a spectacular sea of pink and white each spring. The seasonal Cherry Blossom Walk is a highlight, attracting visitors from all over.
Central Park
📍 New York, NY 10022
No list of cherry blossom destinations would be complete without Central Park! Just a short trip from Westchester, Central Park comes alive in spring with stunning cherry blossoms, especially around the Reservoir, Cherry Hill, and Pilgrim Hill. This is one of the most picturesque places to enjoy the season.

If you’re planning a visit to the cherry blossoms this season, it’s the perfect opportunity for family photos and I can’t recommend Kristin Larsen enough! She’s incredibly talented, has a great eye for natural light and candid moments, and makes the entire experience fun and relaxed (even with my wild littles!). You can book a session with her here.
