Welcome to Sounds Good Westchester!
Karen Hamlin founded Sounds Good Westchester in 2015. She discovered Music Together® way back in 2001 when she began taking classes with her own children in Providence, RI. They had so much fun singing and dancing together every week! After six years of being a Music Together mom, Karen decided to take the next step and become a registered Music Together. From 2007-2015, she taught Music Together to hundreds of families at Over the Moon Music and More in Scarsdale. In 2015, Karen craved even more Music Together in her life, so she took over Music Along the Sound, renamed it Sounds Good Westchester, and has been happily directing and teaching since then.
Today, Sounds Good Westchester offers classes seven days a week at seven locations throughout lower Westchester. We serve families from Armonk, the Bronx, Cos Cob, Greenwich, Harrison, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, New Rochelle, Pelham, Port Chester, Purchase, Rye Brook, Rye, and White Plains. Come join us for a free trial of our kids’ music classes to find out if our program is right for you and your family!
Ten weekly (six in summer), 45-minute classes include songs, rhythmic rhymes, movement, and instrument play. These activities are presented as informal, non-performance-oriented musical experiences–developmentally appropriate for children and easy for parents and caregivers–regardless of their own musical ability. CDs, a songbook, and digital access to the Music Together® Family Music Zone are included!
